1. Purpose of the tool
Signature PNG is an image-processing tool that extracts, refines, and exports a paper signature photo or image selected by the user as a transparent PNG. It provides background removal, page correction, stroke repair, preview, and image-delivery features.
Signature PNG is not an electronic-signature platform, digital-certificate service, contract-signing platform, notary service, identity-verification service, authorization-verification service, or legal-advice service.
2. No promise of legal or evidentiary effect
The app and its developer do not promise or guarantee that:
- an exported PNG proves the identity of the signer;
- the signature image was personally written by a particular individual or was authorized;
- placing the PNG in a contract, form, or other document creates a valid, enforceable, or binding electronic signature;
- a court, government body, company, platform, or document recipient will accept the image;
- the exported file provides tamper resistance, a trusted timestamp, a certificate, an audit trail, non-repudiation, or proof of integrity; or
- every source photo will produce an identical result or a result fit for a particular purpose.
Electronic-signature rules, contract validity, authorization requirements, and evidence standards vary by country, region, industry, document type, and recipient. Users should consult a qualified professional when appropriate and confirm the requirements of the intended recipient.
3. User authorization and responsibility
Users may process only:
- their own signature; or
- a signature they have been explicitly authorized by its owner to use.
Users are responsible for ensuring they have lawful rights to the source image, signature, and exported file, and for every use, storage, copy, transmission, or publication of the PNG. The app must not be used to impersonate another person, forge a document, deceive others, bypass authorization, or engage in unlawful conduct.
The developer does not verify signature ownership, authorization, document content, or the user’s intended purpose.
4. Nature and limitations of the exported PNG
An exported PNG is an ordinary image file. It:
- can be copied, edited, resized, re-encoded, or shared again;
- contains no trusted digital certificate, signing-time proof, signer verification, or legal audit trail;
- does not become a legally effective electronic signature merely because its background is transparent; and
- may be synced, backed up, or distributed according to the settings of Photos, Files, email, or another destination chosen by the user.
Users should inspect stroke completeness, transparency, and crop boundaries before export, and store signature files in a trusted location. For sensitive documents, users should use the identity verification, digital certificate, encryption, or formal electronic-signature service required by the recipient.
5. Image results
Results depend on the clarity, ink color, paper, lighting, shadow, perspective, and adjustments applied to the source image. Background removal and automatic cropping cannot be guaranteed for every photo. Users should verify the result with the transparent, white, and black previews, zoom inspection, and manual repair tools.
If a meaningful stroke approaches the edge of the region selected by the user, the app may stop export and ask the user to enlarge the signature region rather than silently clipping a stroke. This is a quality-protection message and does not mean that the source file or signature is damaged.
6. Purchases and unlocks
Signature PNG currently offers two optional one-time in-app purchases and no subscription or automatic renewal:
- “Unlock This Signature” applies to the current source result. The app stores a device-local record so the result can be exported repeatedly on that device. It is a consumable purchase and is not promised to be restored on another device through Restore Purchases.
- “Lifetime Access” unlocks current and future signatures. It is a non-consumable purchase that can be restored with the Apple Account used for purchase.
Prices in the local StoreKit configuration are test references only. Actual price, currency, tax, availability, refund handling, and storefront eligibility are controlled by the App Store and Apple’s rules. Restore Purchases restores only eligible non-consumable Lifetime Access.
7. Third-party destinations
When a user saves or sends a PNG to Photos, Files, email, cloud storage, Messages, or another third-party app, that destination is governed by its own terms, privacy policy, synchronization behavior, and security settings. The developer cannot control or guarantee a third-party destination’s availability, confidentiality, compatibility, or retention period.
8. Limitation of responsibility
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, users are responsible for deciding whether the app and exported PNG are suitable for a specific purpose and for risks arising from unauthorized use, recipient rejection, incorrect placement, disclosure, loss, modification, third-party synchronization, or failure to meet legal requirements.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits a consumer right or liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
